Requirements:

A Technology/Engineering Bachelor’s degree is necessary, and candidates with an MBA or professional certification like ACCA or CFA are preferred.

Experience:

·      Over a decade of relevant work experience, with four years in increasing leadership positions.

·      Candidates with a background in major multinational companies and a solid grasp of the business practices in Qatar and the Gulf Cooperation Council are strongly preferred.

Description of Job Duties:

Duties and Responsibilities

·      Achieve optimal results in the safety, operations, environmental health, and financial areas of designated assets through the implementation of an Asset Management system.

·      Develop and Implement asset management policies and procedures to enhance the performance of the entire asset portfolio.

·      Monitor important metrics (KPIs) and correct any differences to ensure assets are performing at their best.

·      Assess assets that are not meeting expectations and develop plans to enhance their performance in alignment with departmental objectives.

Enforcement and Oversight:

·      Ensure that company policies, regulations, contractual obligations, procedures, and applicable laws are adhered to.

·      Make sure that all local asset portfolios adhere to operational and legal requirements and oversee their management.

·      Help with creating the yearly budget of the Asset Management Division and specific local assets by overseeing the budgeting process and monetary management.

·      Consistently track financial performance when compared with the budget and put in place tactics to reduce costs.

·      Incorporating divisional strategies into asset business plans to ensure a cohesive strategy that supports corporate goals is an important aspect of the Strategic Contribution initiative.

·      Create guidelines, structures, and procedures to improve the functioning of the department.

·      Establish and cultivate connections with very important local officials, stakeholders, and influential individuals to promote business prospects and ensure adherence to regulations.

·      Continuous improvement involves recognizing areas where departmental systems, processes, and techniques can be enhanced to meet global standards and adapt to changing business environments.

·      The responsibility for reporting and documenting departmental reports is to Ensure that they meet organizational policies and quality standards and are completed on time and accurately.

Perfect Candidate Profile

Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in:

·      Technology / Engineering

·      MBA

·      ACCA or CFA

·      A minimum of 12 years of applicable experience, including a minimum of four years in leadership roles.

·      Extensive understanding of the power, water sectors, and energy, including the latest developments, advancements in technology, and prominent companies in the field.

·      Ability to effectively collaborate with important individuals such as key stakeholders, management teams, senior executives, and outside advisors has been demonstrated.

·      Exceptional skills in analyzing and solving problems, particularly in assessing asset performance and managing risk.

·      Excellent skills in interpersonal relations and communication.
