Role Review:
Aramco is looking for a Manufacturing Knowledge Management Specialist to lead the Global Manufacturing Excellence (GME) organization. This role is crucial in maintaining knowledge within manufacturing operations. This position requires overseeing Aramco’s efforts in knowledge management within the Technology and Manufacturing Oversight Department (T1and1MOD), coordinating strategies to promote excellence in refining, petrochemical, and NGL facilities.
The role emphasizes performance enhancement, collaboration and manufacturing excellence through the integration of digitalization, technology management and performance management programs.
Responsibilities:
· Responsibilities include overseeing Performance Improvement Networks (PINs) by creating and implementing program initiatives.
· Combine projects with long-term plans and oversee the execution of programs.
· Oversee the distribution of resources and facilitate collaboration among leaders in various departments within a network.
· Facilitate the execution of GME obligations.
· Overseeing Communities of Practices (CoPs) – In charge of managing more than 30 CoPs within the worldwide manufacturing network.
· Facing obstacles, sharing successful methods, and documenting experiences gained.
· Documenting and sharing successful strategies and insights – Record, store, and share widely.
· Create and Maintain accessible knowledge databases that are current and up-to- date.
· Provide strategic input to improve departmental policies, systems and procedures.
· Make sure to stay in line with global benchmarks and current practices in the industry.
· Evaluating asset performance using performance indicators – Use the process of “Performance Monitoring” to monitor performance indicators.
· Come up with continuous improvement strategies.
Minimum Requirements:
· Candidates need to have a bachelor’s degree in engineering to be considered for this position.
· Have a minimum of fifteen years of experience in overseeing knowledge projects in the manufacturing sector, with a focus on the oil and gas industry for at least ten years.
· Ideally possess a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) accreditation from the Knowledge Management Institute (KMI).
· Show proficiency in knowledge engineering, mapping expertise, and developing learning systems.
· Demonstrated success in creating classification systems and setting up cohesive information systems.
