As a worldwide Legal Associate, you are going to provide legal expertise in managing & resolving legal issues associated with the company ‘s worldwide operations. You are going to be accountable for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, assuring compliance with international laws and regulations, managing intellectual property (IP) portfolios, along with advising on data protection and also privacy laws.
Crucial Responsibilities:
Agreement Management:
· Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, which includes software licensing, partnership agreements, SaaS agreements, and merchant contracts.
· Offer legal advice on cross border transactions and also service agreements.
Regulatory Compliance:
· Ensure adherence to international laws and regulations, export controls, CCPA, including GDPR, and yes it industry specific standards.
· Advise on compliance with anti corruption laws (FCPA, UK Bribery Act) and anti money laundering regulations.
Intellectual Property Management:
· Control and defend the company ‘s intellectual property assets, copyrights, including trademarks, & patents.
· Handle disputes regarding IP infringement and licensing.
Chance Management:
· Identify and also mitigate legal risks related to overseas operations.
· Create policies and frameworks to make certain the company ‘s compliance with applicable legal requirements.
Litigation Support:
· Coordinate with outside legal counsel for global litigation and dispute resolution.
· Stand for the organization in arbitration and regulatory proceedings, if needed.
Business Governance:
· Help in creating legal entities in overseas jurisdictions.
· Offer support for mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring activities.
· Data Cybersecurity and Privacy: Advise on data protection, cybersecurity, as well engineering laws impacting IT activities globally.
· Conduct training courses on privacy laws and very best practices for employees.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
· Work closely with the legal, finance, HR, compliance, as well as technical teams to help company initiatives.
· Function as a liaison between the business and outside regulatory authorities.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is needed. A Master ‘s degree (LLM) with specialization in International or even IT Law is preferred.
Experience: 3 5 years of relevant expertise in global legal matters, ideally in the IT/SaaS industry.
Knowledge:
· Familiarity with global trade laws and technology related regulations.
